SNOO’s Weaning feature helps prepare your baby to transition to a cot by reducing the motion your baby receives in SNOO. By 4 to 6 months of age, most babies are developmentally ready to give up the all-night rocking motion that SNOO provides.
When Weaning is on, SNOO will no longer provide all-night motion on the baseline (blue) level. However, SNOO will still respond with higher motion and sound to try and soothe your little one.
- Head over to the Setting icon at the bottom of your screen
- Under the Modes category, toggle on Weaning
You can also tell Weaning is on by heading to the dashboard and seeing a W at the top left-hand corner of your screen. To learn about prepping for the weaning period, click here!
Breastmilk is the best source of nutrition for babies. It is important that, in preparation for and during breastfeeding, mothers eat a healthy, balanced diet. Combined breast- and bottle-feeding in the first weeks of life may reduce the supply of a mother's breastmilk and reversing the decision not to breastfeed is difficult. If you do decide to use infant formula, you should follow instructions carefully.
